Tame the Silence

Silence has powerful meaning. Silence can tell more then words, it can enhance moments and heighten emotions. Allowing silence and using natural pause shapes story and becomes the subtext. As improvisers we tend to talk a lot and very often are afraid to leave space for the unspoken.

Silence is an ally. Horror Vacui (the fear of empty space) is as counterproductive in improvisation as it is in art. Too many objects means no context. Tame the fear and use silence to inform our scenes. Lets fall in love with the space between words that deepens the meaning!

LEVEL: For everyone who feels comfortable in playing scenes.
