Side coaching & tips for an actor
Just as athletes have a trainer or coach who looks outwardly at the team, so many professional impro groups work with someone who gives clues from the outside to set the actors in a different direction.
In improvisation, every choice in the scene is possible, but the best one is the one that moves the action of the scene or story forward and/or builds a relationship between the characters. In this workshop, I will be your outer eye. We will work to make the scene more efficient and move the story forward. The side notes are meant to give you an extra option and help you avoid transaction scenes and arguments that block the scene from progressing, or to help you when you get stuck in a scene and don’t know what to do next.
LEVEL: For everyone.
*Side Coaching is the process of giving directions to actors while acting out a scene.
